RYLA 5170 campers are all selected and fully sponsored by District 5170 Rotary Clubs around the California Bay Area. Some clubs have slightly differing criteria for interviewing and selecting campers – so this can vary. However, all campers once selected to attend Camp RYLA receive a full scholarship to the weeklong camp program. Once selected, it is the responsibility of the student’s sponsoring Rotary Club Chair to reach out with a link to our online registration.
Note: You must be selected and sponsored by a District 5170 Rotary club to receive entry into Camp.

Yes, we encourage all students involved with different forms of leadership in their communities to reach out to a Rotarian for sponsorship.

2023 is our first year we are offering the option of funding oneself to attend Camp Ryla. For more information please see the Camper section of our website for more information.

The only requirement is that you have to be graduated from highschool to apply to be a counselor.
Applications are normally available in January each year.
